Mr.O.Arivazhagan, B.E (Honors), PMP, PMI-SP, PMI-RMP, MBB, CFM (HFI,
USA) CEO, IIPM, was invited to commence the National program on
“Project Management: An Introduction and Application” at Saveetha
Engineering College in Sriperumbudur on 24th June 2013.The program was
scheduled on 24th – 30th June 2013 and the attendees were professors and
lecturers from various Universities & Colleges throughout India.
In his opening session on 24th June 2013, he spoke on the Topic
of ‘Introduction to Project Management’ in which he threw light on
the various current industry relevant fact of how the future is going to
be Project centric & everything including operation based jobs are going
to be viewed as Projects in future. He also explained how Project
management and global Project Management certifications are going to play
a major role in the next 5 years in the Indian & Global economy.

On 26th June 2013 a special panel of speakers addressed several
questions on "Importance of managing all Stakeholders in Infrastructure
Projects". The panel discussion was moderated by Mr. O.
Arivazhagan ‘Ari’. It was a vivid and highly interactive discussion by
panelists and the participants, with interesting comments from the
moderator, on various challenges being currently faced by Government
infrastructure projects due to poor stakeholder management and how these
kind of issues could be resolved in future. He also very beautifully stated how the lack of maturity and proper
understanding of the term democracy in the general citizen ultimately
impacts the overall success of a major project.

He concluded this panel
discussion with a very beautiful message for each and every citizen of how
important it is to use democracy in the right sense. Democracy has always
to be accompanied with self discipline for a successful nation /
economy. He spoke about students travelling on footboard in public
transport as an example for democracy without self discipline. The broad
spectrum of topics covered throughout this session, held the interest and
attention of the audience. Mr. Ari did an outstanding job of holding the
attention of the audience as a moderator. He also delivered a special
lecture on 27th June 2013 for ‘Project Risk Management’
during this program. On the last day of the program Dr. P. Rajkumar B.E.,
MBA., Ph.D. thanked Mr. Ari and felicitated him with a Shawl & Bouquet.
