  My recipe for success:
    1. Register for PMI membership and get PMBOK softcopy.
    2. Read thoroughly PMBOK once for one month before Class room training.
    3. Then attend 4 day class room training. (Ari gives excellent practical examples)
    4. Then Start exam application procedure and schedule exam date about 40 days away.
    5. Then straightaway start taking as many Mock exams (IIPM CD) as possible before 2 weeks of PMP exam date. Friends, The more Mock exams you take the closer you will be to the Success in actual PMP exam.

  My strategy :
  1) Attended Ari's lecture
  2) Took Ari's 5 full length exams (My scores were like 65%, 69%,68% 70%, 77%)
  3) Read as many times as possible Ari's notes
  4) Take the exam if I am scoring consistently above 75% in consecutive exams I hope my lessons learned would help those aspirants who are trying to take PMP^® exams

• Today I have passed the PMP examination. Thanks to Ari’s input and thanks all earlier passed out PMP’s who shared their experience and I considered all of their advice during exam preparation. • I am happy to say that I have passed the PMP exam today. I belong to July-2006 couldn’t prepare for the exam because of other engagements. After postponing 3 times, I got fed up and took leave from work for a week and I am glad I made it. I went through the IIPM material, went through Rita once, revised IIPM material a day before the exam and took one mock test from the IIPM CD. I would recommend the PMP aspirants to go through Rita carefully as I found it very interesting and helpful. I wasted a lot of time memorizing the inputs, tools & techniques and outputs for the processes in each of the knowledge areas unsuccessfully. • I am happy to announce that I have passed the PMP exam. I could not appear for the same in BAHRAIN, country where I reside, as here PMI conducts PBT only. Despite this country has so many prometric centres, it was very strange though. As part of my contingency plan, I appeared for the exam in Saudi Arabia. I made it a point to read each question twice before I answered any of them, however confident the answer seemed. • I took my exam in DUBLIN on Saturday. I got through the exam as well. It was tougher than what I expected. It nearly consumed all my 4-hours of time. Most of the questions were simulated situation and hardly any mathematical question. Most of them were lengthy too. My suggestion to aspirants is CONCENTRATION is key to success and stick to PMBOK Standards. • At my first outset I would like to thank for the valuable sessions and ground breaking concepts during your training by you (IIPM). I was completed 35 PDUs during August 06. This week I have completed the PMP. The examination was enjoying and was similar to the IIPM mock test.
  
  I followed your time management suggestions in the exam and completed it in 3 hours, I spent 15 Minutes for focusing and writing down formulae, Process table etc. Also, I took four times break for around 15 minute together. Last half an hour I spent for review and finally after review I closed my eyes for last 1 minute. Then I found Congratulations message on my screen.
  
  I took the examination at Prometric Hyderabad, and found it to be calm and pleasing. Initially I was thinking a lot, and even my colleagues were kidding on me when I paid 450 USD for 35 PDUs when my company itself offers free session for 35 PDUs. But, I considered it as an investment. Now it has realized. I got several project to lead. The PMP journey with PMIism is really great and enjoying/challenging.
  
  As I asked during your session, since the HR/COMMUNICATION sessions were took by other faculties and you promised me to provide the DVDs of your sessions. Can you give those DVDs to me If possible? I feel it should add value to my career.
  
  I feel you are doing a great job and your experience is amazing. I'm personally confident IIPM will bring out many powerful managers in India & World.

  feel I could have scored more marks if I attended exam immediately after the training.
  
  From my side, one important and but hard truth: "If you are experienced much and want to be PMP certified, please do the unlearning first of your exist PM practices and learn PMI way of project Management". I heard Ari touching upon this during his first session which is very true.

• I am very happy to say that I have passed the PMP exam. I registered for the 3 months online course. The way the course was laid out online was very helpful. Other than this, I used PMP study guide by Kim Heldman, Claudia Baca and Patti Jansen. Took 7 mock tests and consistently scored between 70-80 % and completed in 2 hrs 45 minutes.
  
  I took the actual exam on Feb 7th. It was very different. None were direct questions all of them were situation questions. It took 3 hours 45 minutes to complete and I had only 15 minutes to review when I hit finish and was waiting for the results it was a moment of tension. But I was excited when I saw the message “CONGRATULATIONS”.

• I am happy to announce that I have cleared the PMP exam…….. Here are some of the TIPS that should help you guys:
  
  1. Try to take the exams within 2 months of the training. You are going to stretch it for long, then you might loose.
  2. Try to take as much notes as you can during Ari’s session going through them again should help you get quite a bit of questions right.
  3. Do not refer to too many materials. I referred just PMBOK and Rita. That should be more than enough.
  4. Take the mock test (Provided by IIPM) at least 5-6 time before you appear for the exam.

• The list of the PMP from IIPM Chennai has incremented by one. Yes. Today I passed my PMP exam. I am from the Aug’06 week end batch. Thank God. My application was selected for audit. As per Ari’s advice, I decided to take the exam in 2 months but because of audit process it was postponed for one more month.
  
  Many PMPs had shared their experience to pass this exam. My experience is also more or less same. Yes. Followed PMBOK 3rd edition, Rita book and used IIPM CD effectively. I used the CD in study mode efficiently, took 5 Mock tests from the IIPM CD and one test from the PMI study site (Passed in all mock exams!!) and finally able to make it in the final exam.

Hi All,

    This is Balaji. I attended IIPM's PMP prep course in the Aug 26/27, Sep 2/3 weekend batch. I cleared the certification test yesterday(18Oct) morning. I took the test at Chennai Prometric
centre.

    I had scheduled the test immediately after the course so that I had about 6 weeks preparation time. But for 2 weeks, I was stuck with Chikungunya and could not do anything fruitful during that time. To fast track, I prepared rigourously the last 3 weeks, took a couple of mock tests from the IIPM CD.

      The following is the set of materials I studied:

     The test was a lot tougher than I had expected. There were more than 70% situational type questions. During the first pass of the questions, I could answer not more than 50 of them perfectly and confidently. Having decided to almost give up, I took a break and decided to carry on. The second pass was good and I tried to answer each question reading the question 3-5 times. I utilized the 4 hours completely and was reviewing when the test ended automatically. The screen hung for around a minute and then flashed "Congratulations". Whoa! I am a PMP now!!

     I would like to thank Ari for the splendid and lively training sessions. His examples and suggestions very were valuable and had created a lot of impact.
