Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)

International Institute of Project Management (IIPM), is conducting an "Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)" course aligned to ISO 31000,COSO and PMI Frameworks. ERM is evolving to address the needs of various stakeholders, who want to understand the broad spectrum of risks facing complex organizations to ensure they are appropriately managed.

This course is scheduled during the weekends to suit Presidents/Owners, CXOs, CEOs, CFOs, CMOs, CTOs, VPs, Sr.Managers, BDOs, Risk Managers, Project Managers, Design Managers, QA/QC Managers etc.

It may be noted that listed companies are required to mandatorily implement ERM in their companies and the Executive Management is charged with implementing Enterprise Risk Management across the organization. Indian listed companies have begun to realize that Enterprise Risk Management Framework appears to be the Gold Standard for implementation. In India, clause 49 of testing agreement stipulates Enterprise Risk Management as a mandatory compliance requirement.

What is Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)?

Enterprise Risk Management is a comprehensive framework for implementation of risk management practices across organization. It is the process of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the activities of an organization in order to minimize the effects of risk on an organization's capital and earnings. It is an organization-wide approach to identify, assess, communicate, and manage risk in a cost-effective manner – a holistic approach to managing risk.

1. Mr. O. Arivazhagan “Ari” - IIPM

Mr. Ondiappan Arivazhagan "Ari", is an Honors graduate in Civil / Structural Engineering from University of Madras. He is a certified PMP, PMI-SP, PMI-RMP from PMI®, USA. He is also a Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma and has done Business Analytics and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) from IIM, Bangalore. He has 30 years of professional global project management experience in various countries around the World and has almost 14 years of teaching / training experience in Project Management, Business Analytics, Risk Management and Lean Six Sigma and has trained more than 5000 professionals around the world and has guided several project works. He is the Founder-CEO of International Institute of Project Management (IIPM), Chennai.

2. Dr. C. Velan

Dr. C. Velan is a Graduate in Civil & Structural Engineering with a Post-Graduation in Business Administration, as well as Ecology & Environment. Has a Ph.D Degree in Civil Engineering and for the Research work, he focused on an area which based on the need of the hour subject “Sustainable Design of Green Buildings”. Having over 25 years of professional experience in various manufacturing and service industries including the Real Estate & Infrastructure industry, has handled various functions that include Business Development, Marketing, Project Development Management, Acquisitions, Property & Facility Management and related business disciplines and Training. Has presented and published various papers both in National and International Journals, Conferences.
